Are you from a BAME background and live in Crawley?

What is this research for?
We carried out research in July and August 2020, to understand why Black, Asian and minority ethnic people may have been worse affected by Covid-19, so we can work together to understand why, and urgently tackle this.

We asked people from BAME backgrounds to provide information and share your experience during the Coronavirus crisis. This is so that we, with the NHS and others, can use this to make recommendations to help improve things as our communities recover from Covid-19.

How you can take part?
Our survey is now closed.
Thank you to everyone who took part in our research, and we will share our findings in due course.
You can find out more about the questions we asked below.

The Coronavirus crisis has affected everyone in all communities. However there is evidence that Black, Asian and minority ethnic people may have been worse affected than others.

How you can help us:

Please note: our survey is now closed: thank you to everyone who took part.

You can help us to build a picture, by taking our survey about how the Coronavirus crisis has affected you, your family and your community. You can also share your experience with us in your own words.

  • Have you felt informed about the risks and the guidelines?
  • Have you understood what you need to do?
  • Has is been easy to get help and support if you need it?
  • If you need healthcare, do you know where to go and who to ask?

Tell us your story:
Our survey is now closed.

Thank you to everyone who has completed our survey and took part in one-to-one interviews and focus groups, to share their stories with us.

This project is funded by Sussex NHS Partnerships. All surveys and interviews will be treated anonymously and kept securely by Citizens Advice in West Sussex (North, South, East) in line with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation 2018).  If you’d like more information about this project, please get in touch with us:
