Free advice webinars available to help parents and carers of young people with disabilities and SEND navigate the benefits system

Here at Citizens Advice in West Sussex, we are hosting regular advice webinars in the evenings and daytime to help parents and carers of young people with disabilities, including Special Educational Needs (SEND), navigate the benefits system.

These sessions will help people apply for Disability Living Allowance (DLA) for those under 16 and Personal Independence Payment (PIP) for people 16 or over.

The aim of the webinars is to give information about who is eligible for these benefits and learn more about how to fill in the applications themselves. In addition, participants will also learn about other benefits which could be available to them.

Support given to a child or young person is dependent on their needs and these webinars offer vital information.

Each webinar is a group session on Zoom, with no more than 20 people.
