We rely on fundraising so we can make a difference
Living a safe, comfortable life is a right we should all benefit from. Yet it is a world we do not live in. Changes in the welfare system, the constant squeezing of every penny, and continued restrictions on income, almost everyone is feeling the pressure of the price of existence. But some more than others.
As a local independent charity, we must fundraise through donations, sponsored events, grants, and commissioning for services. We are not a government agency, with less than half our funding comes from Statutory sources.
We provide advice, advocacy, and support to those that are at crisis point, and our work changes lives. But the demand for our services continues to increase so your help in making a life changing difference would be invaluable.
There’s lots of ways you can help: Donate, hold sponsored (or sponsor our) events, choose us as your charity in local giving and lottery sites, nominate us to an employer charity of the year, or maybe even consider us in your will.
When we work with people in need of support we look at the person in front of us holistically. This allows us to fully understand the problem they are facing and tackle it comprehensively.
Whether it’s homelessness, food poverty, financial difficulty as a result of a cancer diagnosis, or mental health problems we are there for people to get crisis support whilst addressing the root cause to their problems. We develop sustainable solutions for the individual and work with policy makers to improve things for everyone.
As a charity we value every donation and make the most of the money we raise. Last year, for every £1 invested, we generate £40.17 in public value, and our work is worth almost £61 million in public value for advice on client’s wellbeing.
We have seen over 40,000 people, solved almost 140,000 problems, generating a total of £26 million in financial outcomes for West Sussex residents in the last year alone. Many visit us at crisis point, unable to see a way out but have now improved their incomes, health outcomes, and quality of life as a result of working with us.
We would be incredibly grateful for your support to enable local people to access the rights they are entitled to. Thank you for your support to make this a reality.
