Community Engagement
Our community engagement team work in partnerships to develop new services, improve access to information and create forums to share insight and feedback from our diverse communities.
Our team have been proactive in ensuring our diverse communities in West Sussex not only have access to the reliable information they need but can have their voices heard on the issues that are impacting their community.
Our team complete co-design activities such as working with the Chagossian Community in Crawley to inform our latest Chagossian Community project and other diverse communities to inform our new domestic abuse work.
Get in touch with our community engagement team if you would like to work with us to complete engagement work by emailing: community.engagement@westsussexcab.org.uk
Language Cafes
Our free language cafes allow you to improve your conversational English skills, boost your confidence, meet and connect with members of your community and practice conversations. Held in Crawley, Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill and East Grinstead.
These cafes are free to attend.
Community Champions
Community Champions are ambassadors for their communities. They play a vital role in gathering community interests and questions about local services. We equipt them with accurate information to share within their networks, aiming to foster informed discussions and raise awareness.
Anyone can become a Community Champion. We welcome individuals from diverse backgrounds, cultures, faiths, ages, and interests to represent the rich diversity of Mid Sussex.
Our Events
Here at Citizens Advice in West Sussex, we are hosting regular advice webinars in the evenings and daytime to help parents and carers of young people with disabilities, including Special Educational Needs (SEND), navigate the benefits system.
