“You are diamonds”

Facing a series of health challenges and financial difficulties, Hari found himself in a difficult position. He hadn’t fully understood the notice about renewing his Attendance Allowance, which led to his benefits being stopped.
As his struggles mounted, Hari sought help from the local food bank, where he was referred to Citizens Advice West Sussex.
With help from our Advisor, Hari succeeded in having his Attendance Allowance reinstated at a higher rate, with a back payment of over £900. His advisor helped him to renew his driving license, secure a blue badge, and apply for the Household Support Fund: this resulted in a £250 payment to assist with his energy bills.
We also put him in contact with other organisations, including the charity ‘Being Neighbourly’ for befriending and social support.
Hari feels secure, supported and now knows where to turn to for help.
“You have saved my life. You are diamonds”
