Foodbanks and food groups in West Sussex have been working hard to support people during this time, and several local community groups have been set up to provide support in the community. All information below is correct at the time of going to press, but please note processes may change; we will refresh information on this page as often as possible.
Please see below for how to get support in your local area; if you live in the Arun and Chichester area, please visit Citizens Advice Arun and Chichester’s website.
Red Cross –
The Red Cross can arrange a food delivery service for those recently discharged from hospital. Please click here for information.
Burgess Hill –
- Foodbank: We can refer you via email voucher; please contact us for a referral. Call us on 0344 477 1171, or click ‘contact us’ above.
- Burgess Hill Helper Army: This is a local community group that has been set up to help those who need a hand. The group may be able to pop to the shops or run small errands for local older people, or those now not able to as they may be high risk for Coronavirus. Contact them via their Facebook page.
If you are shielding, the Council can help you to get food. Call 01293 43800 or click here to complete a form online. If you aren’t shielding, the Council will refer you to Crawley Open House.
