Macmillan Money and More Caseworker

About the role

As a Macmillan Money and More caseworker, you’ll be delivering high quality, holistic and efficient advice to people affected by cancer across welfare benefits, employment, debt prevention and related areas. The role combines high volume casework with early intervention advice and signposting so that clients receive the right support at the right time. Advisors will work across multiple channels, providing accurate information, practical assistance and seamless referrals into specialist support where required. The role will include face-to-face appointments across East and West Sussex where necessary. 

What you’ll bring 

You are an empathetic communicator who explains complex information simply.  As a resourceful and adaptable caseworker, you’ll effectively manage a caseload and be focussed on achieving great outcomes for people at a vulnerable time in their lives.  You must be a team player, open to feedback and keen to learn quickly.  Specialist welfare benefit experience is an advantage, but full support and training is available for candidates who can demonstrate they will be able to move through training at pace.
